Tasting Notes
Noble and generous, the glory of old Piedmont, a wine suitable for very long aging, Barolo is the absolute master of the table. He conquers the palate with strength, harmony and fullness and keeps it in his power for a long time.
The Producer
For over 50 years the name Ratti has been inextricably linked to Barolo. Today Cantina Ratti produces classic Langa wines in La Morra, in full compliance with Renato Ratti’s philosophy.
Vinification
The hand-picked grapes in October are de-stemmed and pressed. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel containers at a controlled temperature. Contact with the skins lasts about three to four weeks and includes fermentation and subsequent post-fermentation maceration with the traditional submerged cap. The malolactic fermentation takes place in steel.
