Wehlener Sonnenuhr ‘Devon’ Riesling GG 2011, S A Prum, Mosel

It is beautifully fragrant with flavours of peach, apricot, lemon peel and lime with hints of honey. The palate is elegantly structured with pronounced mineral character imparted by the slate-rich soil. Ripe and full-bodied with good acidity underneath.

Riesling Grosse Gewächs Wehlener Sonnenuhr ‘Devon’ is made by S A Prum. This small family estate nestled on the banks of Germany’s Mosel River has an international reputation for producing exquisite Rieslings. This Riesling named ‘Devon’ after the vineyards’s grey slate soil which dates back to prehistoric Devonian time, is no exception.
