Beautifully elegant and pure red fruit, with a strong backbone of minerality driving to a vibrant lovely finish. This is superb.

The Producer

After making a name for himself as the régisseur, or general manager, of Domaine du Comte Armand in Pommard, Benjamin Leroux established a small négociant business in Beaune with English backing in 2007. Focused solely on the Côte d’Or, from Chassagne-Montrachet to Gevrey-Chambertin, his goal is to develop farming contracts and potentially purchase vineyards in the future.

Leroux is an exceptionally talented vigneron whose wines showcase pure fruit flavors and a seamless texture with only subtle oak influence. He particularly favors vineyards along the border between Auxey-Duresses and Meursault, such as Les Vireuils, where the natural weight of Meursault is enhanced by the fresh minerality of the side valley of Auxey-Duresses. With exciting possibilities ahead, Leroux’s passion and skill are sure to continue impressing Burgundy enthusiasts for years to come.
