Torrontes Lorca Fantasia 2023, Autor de Vinos, La Rioja

Mauricio Lorca is a renowned Argentine winemaker and businessman, originally from Mendoza, who has stood out for his great skill in the production of high quality wines, achieving international acclaim and creating his own wineries. He is an expert winemaker, from the field to the bottle, which has allowed him to produce world-recognised wines and position himself as a winery consultant in Argentina and Spain.

The grapes are from Famatina Valley in La Rioja Province at just under 1,000 metres above sea level, grown on vines planted at a much lower density (2,800 plants per hectare) than in Mauricio’s Mendoza vineyards, and trained in the traditional high pergola style. Mauricio picks approximately 10% of the fruit a little early in order to achieve a refreshing style.
