Oreno 2016, Tenuta Sette Ponti, IGT Toscana
A dark, intense ruby red colour tinged with dappled violet tones, Oreno is a captivating wine. Its incredible complexity and fullness are clear from the first wafts of the bouquet. The ripe
fruit notes of ripe berries, blackberries, and black currant are elegantly married with heady notes of chocolate and balsamic. Its velvety tannins and rich structure make for a sublime
wine whose very long finish one can luxuriate in.
Tenuta Sette Ponti is the vision of one man, Dr. Antonio Moretti, who after taking over the estate from his father in the late 1990s decided to produce estate-bottled wines. Recognising the estate’s exceptional terroir, Dr. Moretti, in collaboration with celebrated winemaker Giuseppe Ca Viola, has transformed Sette Ponti into one of Tuscany’s most celebrated estates. Recent accolades include Gambero Rosso’s Winery of the Year in 2015, multiple 95+ point scores and several “Top 10 Wines in the World” by publications from around the world.
