Pale, bright topaz colour with a golden tinge, fresh with dry fruit, wood and citrus flavours with a fresh and nutty persistent finish.

John Blandy arrived in Madeira in 1808 and worked in the accounting office of Newton, Gordon, Murdoch, who were wine merchants at the time. In 1811, he established his own wine company and expanded to other businesses, such as managing and representing ships and their cargo, utilizing Funchal as a port of call. Today, the Blandy family continues to run the Madeira Wine Company, which has been passed down through seven generations and preserved a tradition that has lasted over 200 years. In 1925, Blandy and Leacock joined forces, creating a formidable group of top-quality Madeira producers, which was then partnered with the Symington family in 1989. With the Symingtons’ vast experience in winemaking and marketing, as well as a global distribution network, the Madeira Wine Company was able to face the challenges of modern markets.

Aged for 10 years in seasoned American oak casks.
