Château La Croix des Moines 2019, Jean-Luis Trocard, Lalande de Pomerol

Flattering, supple nose, overripe fruits, fine tobacco, round mouth, elegant with volume but very patinated and felted tannins.

Château La Croix de Moines is located north-east of the town of Libourne in the heart of the Lalande de Pomerol appellation. Since 1976 it has been owned by Jean-Louis Trocard whose family has owned vineyards in Bordeaux since the XVIth century.

Hand harvested grapes are then fermented and matured in oak casks for 14 months.
