Al-Murvedre 2021, Telmo Rodriguez, Alicante

This red wine is a blackish purple colour with aromas of eucalyptus and black fruit prevails. A medium-bodied palate with fresh flavours of mint, currant, and pomegranate. The finish is long and slightly grippy. Perfect paired with white meat, Iberian ham, and salads.

Telmo Rodríguez and Pablo Eguzkiza have been friends and business partners in crime for over three decades, starting with Pablo working at Telmo’s family’s Riojan winery Remelluri.

Since the founding of their own company in 1992 (under Telmo’s name but they are equal partners) they have worked together to challenge and change perceptions of Spanish wine on the international stage, seeking out individual plots and vineyards across Spain.
