Tasting Notes

Pronounced intensity on the nose with aromas of citrus, elderflower, pear, almond, and a touch of acacia honey notes. On the palate the wine is light and sweet with refreshing acidity, notes of elderflower, citrus, pineapple, soft peach, with a medium to long finish.

The Producer

Juliet Victor is a Hungarian wine estate founded by József Váradi, named after his initials in the aviation alphabet (“Juliet” for J, “Victor” for V). Based in Mád, in the UNESCO-listed Tokaj region, the winery farms around 30 hectares of historic vineyards, focusing on Furmint, Hárslevelű, and Yellow Muscat. With a “quality over quantity” philosophy, all fruit is hand-harvested and vinified into both premium dry Furmints and traditional sweet Tokaji styles such as Aszú. Wines are aged in oak and matured in ancient underground cellars, combining heritage and modern precision. Juliet Victor positions itself as an ultra-premium brand, aiming to elevate Hungary’s reputation on the global fine wine stage.

Vinification

Furmint, Hárslevelű, and Yellow Muscat grapes are left on the vine to raisin and develop noble rot (botrytis), concentrating the fruit and sugars. The grapes are pressed and fermented, before being aged for 9 months in lightly toasted Hungarian oak casks.
