Côte de Nuits Villages 2018/21, Domaine Didier Fornerol

A very lovely wine this year with balance, ripeness and freshness; the fruit is juicy, spicy and pure, and there is a relaxed generosity that makes it very appealing.

Didier Fornerol was the vineyard manager and cellar master at Domaine de L’Arlot from 1982 until 1998. In 1999, he returned to his family’s domaine. Today, he has really fine-tuned the winemaking at the domaine with crucial help from L’Arlot’s legendary Jean-Pierre de Smet. Given how much we’ve loved many of the older L’Arlot, it’s no surprise that Fornerol is such an impressive discovery for us.
