Tasting Notes
Featuring lifted notes of dried mangoes, apricots, and orange peel, all of which work in concert to create a delightful flavour profile. The wine’s vibrant acidity provides a lively backbone, while the finish is long, leaving a pleasant aftertaste.
The Producer
Sigalas Rabaud has held the premier cru status since its inclusion in the prestigious 1855 classification. This Haut-Sauternais estate is renowned for its liquor richness, concentrated nature, and formidable power, hallmarks of the finest wines produced in the region. However, Sigalas Rabaud stands out from its peers with its rare elegance, highly prized by a circle of devoted connoisseurs. The Lambert family has been instrumental in harnessing the unique qualities of this exceptional property, with Laure de Lambert Compeyrot taking over the reins in 2013. Currently, she and her son are actively campaigning for the recognition of the Sauternes sec appellation. In addition to its traditional offerings, Sigalas produces two dry cuvées, La Sémillante and La Demoiselle.
