Château Porte Chic 2016/18, Jean-Louis Trocard, Pomerol

A very nice and deep red colour. A greedy and fresh wine with a beautiful nose of fresh fruit and spice. Full bodied and rich with elegant tannins leading to a good, round finish.

This small property, located close to the village of Pomerol and bought in 2010 by Jean-Louis & Benoit, 14th and 15th generation of the Trocard family, was in the past the scene of tradtitional horse racing. Sold in 2009, the old racetrack immediately inspired the Trocard family by its terroir and history.

Right after handmade harvest, the merlot vinification in stainless steel tanks and cap’s punching for the merlot berries. They use this integral vinification process on all Cabernet Franc grapes.
