The brainchild of UK wine merchant and Master of Wine, Richard Kelley, The Liberator is a collection of unique, limited-edition wines sourced from renowned winemakers across South Africa. The idea for the project came from the winemakers themselves, who had exceptional wines that had not found the right place in the market and were at risk of being blended away. Richard, along with some creative minds, seized the opportunity to give these wines a platform to shine. Dubbed as ‘vinous orphans’, The Liberator offers exclusive one-off parcels of wine, each with its own backstory and exceptional quality. These wines are only available in limited quantities, and The Liberator’s portfolio continues to expand.
