Savennières La Croix Picot 2018/19, Domaine Fournier Longchamps

Aromas of lime blossom, green citrus fruit and honey. It’s colour is pale yellow with brilliant reflections. The bouquet is adorned with notes of white flowers and lime. On the palate, this wine is a perfect balance between salinity and minerality.

Domaine Fournier Longchamps is a family estate located in Rochefort sur Loire in Maine-et-Loire (49).

Today, 43 hectares of vines are spread over the Savennières, Roche aux Moines, Anjou Blanc and Anjou Villages, Coteaux du Layon, Coteaux du Layon 1er Cru Chaume and Quarts de Chaume Grand cru appellations.

Their commitment is to respect and preserve the environment in order to promote the development of the vine.

Located on the heights of Savennières, the plot of La Croix Picot is based on a soil of sandstone shale and wind-blown sand. The harvest is carried out manually with successive selections in order to obtain very high quality grapes.

No malolactic fermentation is carried out on the white wines, allowing the wine to keep a richness of expression , aromas during tasting and a very important aging potential .
